Job summary

Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital is seeking a Children and Young People Clinical Manager to lead the CYP service, guiding the patient journey and ensuring delivery of high-quality, clinically effective care within a collaborative ward environment.

The role requires NMC registration, extensive post-registration experience in a children's ward, and evidence of clinical leadership. It is a full-time, on-site post with a focus on service development and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Be NMC registered and have extensive post-registration experience in a children’s ward
• Post-registration experience with children's services; EPALS/ILS/ALS skills or willingness to study
• Experience in clinical leadership and multi-stakeholder collaboration
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Play a vital role in guiding the child's journey through the hospital
• Support children and their guardians with compassionate leadership
• Deliver high-quality, clinically effective care as part of the ward team
• Work across different specialist areas and lead a team of specialist nurses
• Be accountable for the operational and clinical management of the CYP service
• Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to develop the CYP service
• Lead and manage the CYP nursing team to deliver bespoke patient care
• Participate in the on-call rota
• Promote service innovation to meet user needs
