RESPONSIBLE TO: Parkride Coordinator
SALARY: £12.60 per hour
HOURS: Variable
WHERE: Main Base: Pinewood Head Office, B32 3BZ
Secondary Base: Locations across the West Midlands

The Cycling Support Worker will work alongside an experienced team across the West Midlands.
You will collaborate with colleagues across Midland Mencap and local community assets to develop joint activities and opportunities.
You will assist the coordinator in promoting and attracting new participants to parkride and in planning and delivering a range of cycling and leisure activities based on identified needs.

Experience working with children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities is a bonus. We also value transferable skills from other sectors and provide comprehensive training to all staff.

You will support the delivery and development of accessible and inclusive cycling opportunities for individuals and families across the West Midlands, promoting confidence, health, and social skills.
You will understand potential barriers faced by service users and uphold their rights.
You will assist in training individuals in cycling safely and support a person-centred approach to empower community participation.
Your responsibilities include helping citizens access meaningful activities, supporting the planning and delivery of parkride sessions, and promoting cycling across all abilities and communities.
The ideal candidate will work well within an established team and use their initiative when communicating with staff, families, and professionals.
