Job summary

Halfords in the United Kingdom is seeking a bike service and repair expert to join our Daventry team. You’ll deliver market-leading service across kids, adult, premium and electric cycles while helping customers choose and maintain their dream bike.

You’ll carry out most of the service work, help develop other team members, and maintain the high quality standards we expect. Previous retail or cycle service experience is helpful, but enthusiasm and customer care are valued, with training provided

Qualifications

• Experience in service, build and repair across cycles.
• Experience delivering great customer service, ideally in retail or cycle services.
• Experience sharing expertise with others.
• Experience working with and achieving sales targets.
• Availability to work on a rota basis, including weekends.

• Age 21+ £13.11 per hour
• Under 21 £11.25 per hour

You’ll have some technical skills, but more about that later. Your unbridled enthusiasm for bikes combined with your knack with customers is what will lead you to success in this role - you’ll be delivering market leading standards of cycle service and repair, after all. Working on kids, adult, premium, performance and electric cycles, you’ll help us wow every customer.

Carrying out most of the service and repair work yourself, you'll also help develop other members of the team. We only work to the highest quality standards, just like you. A practical problem solver who works quickly and efficiently, you’ll help customers find and maintain their dream bike.

Ideally, you already have experience in a retail or cycle services environment, but if you have practical skills and experience of delivering fantastic customer service, we can help you with the rest.

We invest heavily in training to give our colleagues skills to develop their careers, so whatever career path you want to follow and whatever pace you want to progress, we have the support here to help you make your ambitions a reality, whether it’s in Retail or elsewhere in the Group.

To be successful in this role you'll need:
