Job summary

Searchability NS&D in Manchester, UK is seeking a Cyber Vulnerability Researcher for an onsite, full-time role. You will perform research and reverse engineering on unique challenges, delivering results within a collaborative team and mentoring junior members.

Active SC clearance or higher is required. Salary up to £75,000, with a strong focus on customer outcomes and high-assurance development across demanding security environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in vulnerability research, reverse engineering, or exploit development.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Ghidra, IDA, Unicorn, or debuggers.
  • Knowledge of low-level programming languages across the application stack.
  • Understanding of the exploit development lifecycle from identifying bugs to proof of concept.
  • Ability to communicate technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vulnerability research and reverse engineering on diverse platforms to identify weaknesses.
  • Deliver research as part of a collaborative team and mentor junior members.
  • Develop bespoke tooling to support vulnerability research and exploitation activities.
  • Ensure customer-focused, high-assurance development across projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate findings into actionable mitigations.

THE CYBER VULNERABILITY RESEARCHER ROLE
