Government Cyber Profession is seeking a Cyber Technology Risk Lead to define and drive a cross-government approach to technology risk management. You will work with central teams and departments to improve how risks are identified, understood and acted on using data and targeted engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience gathering evidence to form independent, defensible risk judgments.
• Designing proportionate evidence/reporting that minimizes burden on organisations.
• Strong understanding of risk appetite, governance and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Design and run structured engagement programmes with departments to build trust.
• Form evidence to assess whether risk controls are effective across government.
• Drive practical adoption of risk frameworks and appetite in departmental decisions.
• Support identification of controls, treatments and remediation based on risk.
• Test risk models and improve quality of inputs into central risk aggregation.
• Create accessible guidance on themes like legacy IT, resilience and supply chain.
