Job summary

Ofgem, Britain's independent energy regulator, is offering a permanent Cyber Strategy Technical Expert role to shape cyber resilience and regulation across the sector. The position sits within the Cyber Regulation and Emerging Technologies Directorate and focuses on strategic cyber policy in a regulated environment.

We seek a leader with strong technical credibility who can balance security needs with commercial considerations, and communicate complex issues to senior audiences.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of technical leadership in cyber security of critical national infrastructure, such as energy.
• Experience providing technical advice on complex national cyber policies or strategies in a regulated setting.
• Leading strategic policy development of high-profile cross-agency workstreams with external partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to tailor messages to senior stakeholders.
