A leading educational institution in London is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join its team. This role involves managing cybersecurity systems, educating on best practices, and ensuring compliance with security standards. Ideal candidates will have deep expertise in IT security management and experience with cloud security solutions. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until July 2026, offering a starting salary of £45,025 per annum.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Cyber Security team as we begin to implement the next phase of our multi-layered cyber defence environment at Kingston University. Our vision is for IT to be a valued business partner, providing innovative, secure services to 17,000 students and 2000 staff. As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will be involved in all aspects of cloud security within the organisation, operating and supporting key security systems and services that underpin the protection of Kingston's digital services, infrastructure, data and users.
You will use your extensive expertise to help maintain and secure our environment. You will contribute to the day-to-day management of Information and Cyber Security operations and work closely with IT teams to secure the technology and develop/update security standards and policies to safeguard digital services, ensuring they are secure and fit for purpose, enabling the University to deliver its strategy.
