A recruitment agency is seeking a Cyber Security Operations Lead for a 6-month contract in Newport. The role involves overseeing the transition of projects into SOC operations, mentoring SOC Engineering team members, and ensuring operational tasks are completed in a timely manner. Good knowledge of multiple SOC tooling including IDPS / Firewalls / SIEM / Splunk / Email & Web Protection
Experience of implementing and fault finding Firewall technologies including Cisco ASR / Palo Alto / Fortinet
Excellent understanding of network technologies
Experience of Scripting and programming
Experience of Windows and RedHat server systems
Job description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Cyber Security Operations Lead on an initial 6-month contract. As the Cyber Security Operations Lead responsible for the transition of projects from the System Design team into the SOC operations ensuring impact analysis, capacity and availability management are considered prior to accepting new projects. You will also mentor / oversee members of the SOC Engineering team, ensuring all operational tasks are completed and work tickets updated / closed on time.

Role : Cyber Security Operations Lead

Pay : Up to £90 per hour via umbrella

Location : Newport

Contract : Monday - Friday 37 Hours per week, 6 Months contract

IR35 Status : Inside

Security Clearance : DV Clearance on submission

Responsibilities
  • Support SOC Engineers & Analyst activity
  • Supports change & release management activity
  • Toolset availability and capacity management review and escalation
  • Maintain currency in security concepts, tools and best practices
  • Engagement with R&D Cyber Defence Centre for Airbus Cyber Solutions / Products
Essential Skills
