The Role

Are you passionate about cyber security and looking to develop your career in a dynamic environment? VPI is seeking a Cyber Security Operations Analyst with early-stage career experience to join our central cyber security team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad stakeholder base within the UK and Europe, contributing to essential cyber risk management and operational security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk analysis and interpret first-line operational outputs to support VPI's overall cyber security risk posture.
• Assist in incident response testing, data management, and coordination of cyber security with physical and personnel security teams.
• Develop cyber security awareness materials, manage phishing protection programmes, and handle external threat intelligence.
• Support the integration of security policies into DevOps processes and cloud-based tools.
• Contribute to risk mitigation strategies for business development and internal change projects.
• Act as a responder within VPI's cyber security incident framework.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in a cyber security-related role.
• Educational or workplace experience in cyber security operations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Experience in change management activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).

Desirable Qualifications

• Foundation or Fundamentals level Cyber Security certifications or badges.
• Educated to HND/Degree level in a relevant field.
• Understanding of technology principles within the energy sector (not essential but beneficial).
