Job Description:

The Role

As a Principal Technical Consultant, you will lead some of our most complex and innovative SecOps projects and play a key role in expanding the portfolio of technical PwC SecOps services.

You will help our clients improve their ability to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats. You will work with CISOs and Security Operations leaders at various organizations, from small think tanks to global banks, to assess, enhance, and transform SecOps capabilities. This may include SIEM & SOAR technology change, EDR threat hunting process design, or SOC operating model improvement. Your role encompasses project delivery, technical leadership, and the opportunity to source and develop new projects.

You will be supported by a team of cyber security architects, detection engineers, threat hunters, and incident responders. You will interact with PwC technology alliance partners such as Microsoft, Google, and Palo Alto Networks.

Design strategies and identify quick wins to mature clients’ SecOps capabilities and improve their ability to detect and respond to cyber attacks, including post-incident scenarios.

Plan and lead complex SecOps consulting and engineering projects involving diverse technologies and multidisciplinary teams. Support business growth by identifying and developing new opportunities for projects and collaboration.

Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and technology partners to assess and enhance cybersecurity operations and drive strategic and tactical changes.

Engage with threat intelligence, hunting, and incident response teams to stay updated on technology trends, security, and threats, and develop perspectives on SecOps implications.

Mentor and coach less experienced cybersecurity consultants, promote knowledge sharing, and facilitate professional growth.

Build and maintain strong client relationships and aim to be a trusted advisor, representing the broader PwC firm. Demonstrate integrity, inclusivity, care, and commitment to quality in all work and decisions.

This role is for you if

You have extensive experience leading cybersecurity operations teams, either through managing large SecOps projects or SecOps departments.

You possess strong specialist knowledge of SecOps technologies, market trends, standards, and best practices, supported by relevant certifications.

You have a solid technical understanding of how organizations can prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats, with a focus on automation, analytics, and detection engineering.

You have a proven track record of driving successful and sustainable change in complex environments, delivering innovative solutions.

You have experience managing diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to senior executives, and can tailor communication accordingly.

You have developed professional relationships and a network, with commercial experience in project pricing, budgeting, and decision-making.
