The role
As a Principal Technical Consultant, you will lead complex and innovative SecOps projects, playing a key role in expanding PwC's SecOps services portfolio. You will help clients improve their ability to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats, working with CISOs and Security Operations leaders across various organizations. Your responsibilities include assessing, enhancing, and transforming SecOps capabilities, which may involve SIEM & SOAR technology changes, EDR threat hunting process design, or SOC operating model improvements. You will be involved in project delivery, technical leadership, and sourcing new projects.
You will be supported by a team of cyber security architects, detection engineers, threat hunters, and incident responders, and will collaborate with PwC technology alliance partners such as Microsoft, Google, and Palo Alto Networks.
Your tasks include designing strategies, identifying quick wins to mature clients' SecOps capabilities, and improving their response to cyber attacks, including post-incident scenarios. You will plan and lead the delivery of complex consulting and engineering projects involving diverse technologies and teams. Supporting business growth by identifying new opportunities and collaborating on solutions for security operations is also key.
You will engage with threat intelligence, hunting, and incident response teams to stay updated on trends, and develop perspectives on SecOps implications. Mentoring and coaching less experienced consultants, fostering knowledge sharing, and promoting professional growth within the team are essential. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, representing PwC as a trusted advisor, and demonstrating integrity, inclusivity, care, and a commitment to quality are expected.
This role is for you if
You have extensive experience leading cyber security operations teams, either through managing large SecOps projects or departments. You possess strong knowledge of SecOps technologies, trends, standards, and relevant certifications. You have a solid understanding of how organizations can prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats, focusing on automation, analytics, and detection engineering. You have a proven track record of driving successful, sustainable change in complex environments and delivering innovative solutions. Experience managing diverse stakeholders and tailoring communication to different audiences is important. You also have a history of developing professional relationships and networks, along with commercial experience in project pricing, budgeting, and decision-making.
