Job Posting: Assistant Manager – Cyber Strategy (Senior Consultant)

Base Location: London, Canary Wharf

About the Role: The Cyber Strategy Manager role is critical to the sustainable growth of the Cyber Strategy service area within the UK. This position will play a key role in delivering cyber strategy services within our Infrastructure, Government, and Healthcare (IGH) sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage large and complex cyber strategy engagements, overseeing multiple workstreams and leading teams.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships while expanding networks to address client needs effectively.
  • Foster collaboration across global capabilities to drive innovation in cyber security solutions.
  • Identify and support sales opportunities for Cyber Strategy services to contribute to business growth.
  • Serve as a performance manager, coaching and mentoring team members while promoting a culture of learning and development.
  • Support the leadership team in refining strategies, evolving service propositions, and contributing to thought leadership in cyber security.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Expertise in defining cyber security strategies, aligning security initiatives with business and technology objectives.
  • Experience designing and implementing Cyber Security Target Operating Models (TOMs), incorporating people, processes, technologies, and governance structures.
  • Strong capability in creating business cases for cyber security investments and securing stakeholder buy-in.
  • Proven experience managing cyber security programs, including project management, stakeholder reporting, and delivery monitoring.
  • Familiarity with leading security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO27001:2013/2022, NCSC CAF, and CMMI.
  • Ability to assess cyber security capabilities in relation to an organisation’s threat landscape and risk profile.
  • Understanding of security architecture principles, governance models, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIS, GDPR).

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Internal Stakeholders: Collaboration with business development, sales, technical teams, and risk management professionals.
  • External Stakeholders: Engagement with senior client decision-makers across various sectors and industries.

Requirements:

  • Due to the nature of the work, applicants must hold a current and developed 'National Security Vetting' status aligned to a National Security organisation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and influencing abilities.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external senior stakeholders.
