Cyber Security Incident Response Specialist (CSIRT)

Opportunity to play your part – As a Cyber Security Incident Response Specialist (CSIRT) within our dynamic DTS team, you'll be at the forefront of defending our digital landscape. Your responsibilities include containing, investigating, and responding to security incidents to minimise impact. You will conduct swift containment and investigation of security threats, document incident response processes, and assist with forensic and investigative actions to prevent future incidents.

Location: UK, Windsor (flexible working arrangements available)

Daily responsibilities:

  • Conduct forensic analysis and incident response investigations to identify, contain, and mitigate threats.
  • Manage forensic and incident response infrastructure to support investigations.
  • Lead cyber forensic investigations, providing expertise and guidance.
  • Support security operations calls, ensuring effective communication.
  • Oversee resilience planning and conduct tabletop and war-gaming exercises for cyber incidents.
  • Report progress and escalate incidents as needed.
  • Maintain dashboards for security operations visibility.
  • Perform security reviews and support third-party security services for compliance.
  • Track and remediate vulnerabilities to improve security posture.
  • Analyze security reports and manage alerts to proactively address threats.

About you

  • Experience in managing security operations and responding effectively to incidents.
  • Proficiency with SIEM, SEM, and log monitoring tools.
  • Expertise in cyber incident investigations, network forensics, and breach inquiries.
  • Skills in scripting and programming to automate tasks.
  • Understanding of operating systems, hardware, software, and network protocols.
  • Knowledge of industry standards like ISO 27001, ISF, and PCI DSS.
  • Awareness of emerging risks in the energy and utilities sectors.
