Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cyber Security Incident Responder (IR) to join our dynamic team. The role involves maintaining the security of Element’s digital infrastructure by managing cyber incidents. This is an opportunity to be a key member of Cyber Defence, working with stakeholders to develop a 24/7 operational cyber defence capability. Experience in Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Building Element’s IR capability and implementing industry best practices
• Leading cyber incident management and conducting investigations
• Collaborating with IT, Privacy, Legal teams, and stakeholders
• Conducting post-incident reviews and digital forensics
• Developing cyber defence metrics and staying updated on cyber threats
• Building relationships with external agencies and vendors

Key Skills:

• Minimum five years in cybersecurity
• 3-5 years in Digital Forensics and managing complex cyber incidents
• Experience in large, federated organizations and understanding of cyber defence operations
• Bachelor's degree in related fields or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with SIEM tools and writing hunting queries

Experience needed:

• Managing serious cyber incidents as a digital forensic responder
• Working in large enterprise environments
• Understanding security monitoring and intrusion detection systems
• Technical expertise in networks, malware analysis, and digital forensics
