Job summary

Cantium Business Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to protect customer systems and data. You will monitor, investigate and respond to security events, collaborating with IT teams across locations to manage risk and incident response.

The role requires at least 2 years of cyber security experience, familiarity with security operations, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in cyber security roles or security operations
• Experience in information security within IT infrastructure or software projects
• Certifications in cybersecurity are desirable (CISSP, MS Security)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to security alerts, incidents and events
• Prioritize incidents following established procedures
• Investigate causes, document findings and support resolution
• Escalate unresolved incidents and coordinate recovery activities
• Maintain incident records through closure
• Use security monitoring tools to analyse suspicious activity
• Support vulnerability management and threat intelligence tasks
• Work across cloud and IT environments to manage security risk
• Participate in on-call rota as cyber security incident responder
