Job summary

VanRath in Belfast is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join a growing security team. You will work across security operations, threat detection, vulnerability management, cloud security and security engineering to strengthen the organisation's posture.

You will monitor and respond to incidents, manage SIEM/EDR, and collaborate with network teams to remediate risks while supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure security. This permanent role offers hybrid working and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a cyber security related field.
• 3+ years' experience in cyber security or security engineering.
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR and vulnerability management tools.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Security, Azure/M365, networking and identity security.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate and respond to security alerts and incidents.
• Manage and improve security technologies including SIEM and EDR.
• Identify vulnerabilities and work with infra teams to remediate.
• Support security of Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoints and network.
• Contribute to security projects, policies and risk assessments.
