Cyber Security Engineer (983)
Rate: £31.86 per hour
Working Pattern: 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH (may vary depending on workload)
We are recruiting a Cyber Security Engineer for a long-term contract role with a globally recognized automotive company based in Cranfield. The contract may run for several years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of Nissan's Connected Car features and use this knowledge to:
- Coordinate and align schedules with stakeholders to ensure compliance with UN-R155
- Present progress reports on Cybersecurity topics at management and vehicle milestone meetings
- Assess future capabilities and coordinate team expansion as needed
- Communicate and coordinate with Legal and Compliance teams
- Gather and communicate cybersecurity information from suppliers
- Resolve cybersecurity-related issues
- Request cybersecurity requirements during system development
- Stay updated on trends in iOS, Android, and Cloud security and their impact
- Establish cybersecurity implementation processes
- Manage cybersecurity implementation plans, status updates, meeting minutes, and CSMS certification
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in developing or maintaining IT systems
- Project management skills and ability to collaborate with cybersecurity engineers
- Experience negotiating with certification authorities
- Knowledge of UN-R155 and ISO21434 standards
- Project management certifications (PMP or Prince2) are a plus
- Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP or equivalent) are a plus
- Degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering or Computer Science)
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple projects
- Self-motivated, proactive, and flexible in working practices and hours
- Willingness to travel abroad, sometimes on short notice
- Fluent in written and verbal English; business-level Japanese is a plus
