Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer in the North East to join our growing IT team. This permanent, full-time role (37 hours) combines hybrid office-based work with remote options and focuses on protecting systems, infrastructure, and data.

You will monitor threats, manage vulnerability remediation, implement secure cloud and network environments, and support audits and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Cyber Security or Security Engineering role.
• Knowledge of enterprise security technologies, including firewalls, SIEM, EDR, Microsoft Defender, and vulnerability management tools.
• Experience securing Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with security incident response and risk management.

Responsibilities

About the Role
