Job summary

We’re working with MJA (London) Limited, a growing cybersecurity startup in London, seeking a hands‑on Security Engineer who can build, automate and take genuine ownership across cloud security, AI and DevSecOps.

The role is hands-on and not a traditional SOC or Security Analyst, with scope to influence how security is built in a small team at Old Street, London (2 days per week on-site). If you enjoy building tangible security solutions, this is for you.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Cloud Security across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• AI / GenAI exposure and an understanding of AI security risks.
• Strong Cyber / Information Security engineering experience.
• Security automation and tangible examples of things you have built.
• DevSecOps and security architecture.
• Incident management, triage and threat analysis.
• Experience with tools such as AWS GuardDuty.
• Ability to think through security architecture from the ground up.
• Strong ownership and decision‑making.
• Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team.

They want someone who can actually build things and demonstrate what they’ve delivered.

Key experience:

• Hands‑on Cloud Security across AWS, Azure or GCP

• Security automation and tangible examples of things you have built
• DevSecOps and security architecture
• Incident management, triage and threat analysis

The team is small, so this is an opportunity for someone who wants to get involved, make decisions and genuinely influence how security is built.

Longer term, there is scope to move further into security strategy, architecture, DevSecOps and engineering leadership as the team grows.

Location: Old Street, London, 2 days per week
