We're looking for an experienced OT Cyber Security Engineer who knows what it takes to protect critical infrastructure. If you've been hands-on in securing Operational Technology, understand the unique challenges of ICS and SCADA environments, and are ready to hit the ground running - this is the role for you. At Cadent, you'll be part of a high-impact team shaping cyber resilience in one of the UK's most essential services.

Your work will directly contribute to the safe, secure, and continuous operation of the gas network, driving cyber maturity, safeguarding systems, and building industry-leading response capabilities. 1. Incident Response & Forensics - Support on CIRT activity, provide root cause insights, and drive remediation activity.
2. Engineering & Integration - Maintain and improve SIEM/SOAR tools, integrate with core OT security platforms.
3. Threat Modelling & Analytics - Build advanced alerting, analyse attack vectors, and enhance threat visibility.
4. Vulnerability & Patch Strategy - Develop workarounds for unpatchable assets and mitigate OT security risks.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Compliance - Work with IT, engineering, and regulatory teams to maintain resilience and assurance.

You'll also be hands-on in automating incident response, improving detection logic, driving compliance, and continuously evolving our security posture to outpace threats.

What you'll bring:

We're after someone with experience, confidence, and a strong grasp of OT environments. You'll need technical credibility, practical insight, and the ability to collaborate across functions.

1. Proven OT Cyber Experience - in utilities, critical infrastructure, SCADA, ICS
2. Hands-on Security Tooling - SIEM, SOAR, threat intelligence, vulnerability management
3. Threat Modelling - familiar with MITRE ATT&CK for ICS, and developing detection use cases
4. Incident Management - support cyber incident response in improving controls
5. Compliance Mindset - strong understanding of cyber governance in regulated industries
