Job summary

Daintta is a rapidly growing, values-driven team serving the public sector across Cyber, Telecommunications and Data. We seek a motivated Cyber Security Consultant to help defend the UK through data-driven insights and secure operating models.

The role focuses on strategy, engagement, and risk, requiring strong stakeholder relationships and hands-on delivery of risk-based security controls. Hybrid London/Cheltenham with client-site work as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading strategic cyber security projects across sectors.
• Familiarity with industry frameworks (NIST, CAF, ISO27001).
• UK security clearance at SC level or eligible to obtain it.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop cyber security strategy, capabilities, and operating models for clients.
• Manage stakeholders and act as a trusted partner to C-Suite teams.
• Conduct risk and maturity assessments with strategic mitigations.
• Translate technical concepts into business language for reports and briefings.

Daintta is a rapidly growing, values-driven team of specialists who work with public sector and government clients across Cyber, Telecommunications and Data. We are seeking a talented and motivated Cyber Security Consultant to join our team and contribute to our mission of protecting the UK through data-driven insights and solutions.

We are looking for a Strategy, Engagement & Risk Consultant who intuitively understands clients’ needs, considers both immediate and strategic goals, and can apply their experience creatively to meet new and complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Cyber Strategy Development: Supporting the development and roll out of cyber security strategies, capabilities, and operating models to meet our clients’ goals.
• Stakeholder Management: Understanding our clients’ needs, challenges, and opportunities, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders as a trusted partner and ‘critical friend’.
• Risk Management: Undertaking risk and maturity assessments, providing strategic guidance on how to improve cybersecurity posture using a risk-based approach with articulation of mitigations/ controls and their respective impact on reducing risk.
• Communication: Utilising strong written and verbal communication skills to support presentations, reports, and broader communications to a diverse set of audiences including C-Suite stakeholders, including the translation of technical concepts into business language.
• Control Implementation: Implement security controls utilising knowledge of how security controls interact with IT service delivery.
• Delivery: Accurately delivering high quality work to agreed timelines, taking the initiative, utilising the strength of the wider team appropriately to support you, and knowing how to jump straight in.
• Growth: Helping to support & grow Daintta by actively contributing towards the company strategy and helping to shape our future.

Skills/Knowledge

• You have relevant industry experience undertaking strategic, cyber security projects.
• You may have a degree or qualification in cybersecurity, IT or a related area, or otherwise demonstrable experience in a related field.
• You have working knowledge and/or experience of best practice industry frameworks and standards, such as NIST, CAF and ISO27001.
• You demonstrate continued personal development through relevant certifications, academic qualifications, hobbies, and/or wider interests.
• You have strong interpersonal skills.
• You have UK security clearance at SC or above or are eligible and willing to go through clearance.

Location?

Hybrid, with 2-3 days working from Daintta office (London or Cheltenham) or on client site as required.
