At Moore Kingston Smith, we're more than advisors, we're partners in progress. We're looking for a Cyber Security Consultant to help clients navigate today's evolving threat landscape with confidence and clarity.

This is a hands-on consulting role working with businesses across a wide range of sectors. Whether our clients are early in their security journey or operating mature programmes, you'll help shape their resilience and regulatory alignment with tailored, pragmatic advice.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead and deliver cyber security audits, risk reviews and control assessments
  • Identify control weaknesses, assess risks, and present actionable recommendations
  • Work with clients to align with frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls and Cyber Essentials
  • Produce high-quality risk reports, advisory outputs and client presentations
  • Contribute to service development, business growth, and thought leadership (e.g., blogs, webinars)

What we're looking for
  • Experience in cybersecurity consulting, security auditing or risk advisory
  • Working knowledge of industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, NCSC 10 Steps and GDPR
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - able to translate tech into plain English
  • A client-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Industry certifications (e.g. ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISSP, CISA, CISM) are a bonus
  • If you have exposure to penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, cloud security (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) or Operational Technology (OT) - that's a real plus!

What's in it for you?
  • A client-facing role in a supportive and ambitious consulting team
  • A chance to work across a variety of industries - from scale-ups to established organisations
  • Ongoing development and training in a rapidly growing service area
  • Hybrid working that supports flexibility and balance
  • A comprehensive benefits package that puts wellbeing first

Job Benefits
  • 25 days annual leave + 3 days at Christmas (with buy/sell options)
  • Life and critical illness cover, income protection, and pension
  • Health, dental, gym, and wellness benefits
  • Cycle to work scheme, tech loans, will writing, pet insurance, and more
  • Supportive and inclusive culture with real opportunities for progression
