Role Title: Cyber Security Architect – Secure By Design

Reporting to: Lead consultant

Location: Remote with travel as required

1. £65,000 - £85,000K DOE

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join our world-class Consultancy arm as a Technical Cyber Security Consultant, supporting the next phase of Cyberfort’s growth. You’ll be joining a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning with expert peers in Secure Architecture and Risk planning. We work across a number of sectors with a diverse client base. In this role, you’ll work within our Consulting team, supporting new and existing clients across various sectors to define and implement security architectures and solutions that match their requirements. You’ll work in close partnership with clients to ensure the delivery of expert services by complementing their in-house Information and Cyber Security resources, combining expertise in information security, security architecture, and business advice.

Working across the business and multiple technology platforms, you will play a key role in ensuring our clients make the best use of their existing technology and make proportionate, risk-informed decisions, ensuring the protection of client assets and transformation of their security architecture.

As a team, we’re always looking to raise the bar, learn new things, and incorporate new technologies. You’ll share your knowledge with the team and the wider Cyberfort community, contributing to Group blogs and undertaking research related to technology enhancements.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the production and adoption of the client’s IT security framework, including:
2. Security Architecture policies, principles, and standards for application across the organisation.
3. Alignment to industry standards and regulation e.g. ISO/IEC 27001/27002/27005.
4. Security specific patterns, models, and blueprints.
5. Define as-is and to-be security architectures.
6. The security architecture roadmap.
7. Security technology radars and KPIs.
8. Security architecture specific tools and methodologies.
9. Promote the adoption of architectural and Secure By Design principles to reduce information risk.
10. Identify security risks that arise from potential solution architectures, advising and assuring alternate solutions or countermeasures to mitigate identified information risks.
11. Provide assurance of client’s security architectures and solutions.

To be Great at the role:

1. Customer focused and a strong verbal and written communicator.
2. Possess strong hands-on experience in reviewing project delivery plans relating to security systems; evaluation of network and security technologies; developing requirements for network and cloud security designs as well as hardware & software.
3. Possess awareness and understanding of HMG and NCSC Security policies, standards, and guidance.
4. Passionate in cyber security.
5. Able to deliver training to end users.
6. Motivated, self-directed, and able to work in large and virtual teams.
