Job summary

Tata Technologies is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure automotive and enterprise security architectures. You will ensure cybersecurity compliance across connected vehicle platforms, ECUs, cloud ecosystems, and digital engineering environments.

The role requires extensive automotive cybersecurity standards, threat analysis, risk assessment, SDLC security, and governance, with experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers highly

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Cyber Security with automotive focus.
  • Expertise in ISO 21434, UNECE R155/ R156, ASPICE, NIST, IEC 62443.
  • Experience delivering secure vehicle and cloud architectures.
  • Strong governance, risk, and compliance skills.
  • Customer-facing with senior stakeholder interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end cybersecurity architectures for automotive products.
  • Lead security activities across vehicle development lifecycle.
  • Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA).
  • Ensure ISO 21434 and UNECE R155 compliance; support audits.
  • Develop security concepts, security goals, and requirements.
  • Review architectures for cyber risks and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with system, software, safety, cloud teams and stakeholders.
  • Lead security reviews for connected vehicle tech including OTA, ADAS, autonomy.
  • Define secure communications, cryptography, key management.
  • Mentor engineering teams and engage customers and suppliers.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect with a strong background in the Automotive industry to lead the design, development, and implementation of secure vehicle and enterprise security architectures. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring cybersecurity compliance across connected vehicle platforms, automotive ECUs, cloud ecosystems, and digital engineering environments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive cybersecurity standards, threat analysis, risk assessment, secure product development, and cybersecurity governance. Experience working with leading global automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and develop end-to-end cybersecurity architectures for automotive products, connected vehicles, and digital platforms.
  • Lead cybersecurity activities throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
  • Conduct Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) in line with industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 21434, UNECE R155, and other relevant automotive cybersecurity regulations.
  • Develop security concepts, cybersecurity goals, and technical security requirements.
  • Review vehicle system architectures and identify cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with system architects, software teams, functional safety engineers, cloud teams, and product stakeholders.
  • Support cybersecurity audits, assessments, certification activities, and regulatory submissions.
  • Define secure communication architectures, cryptographic solutions, and key management strategies.
  • Lead security reviews for connected vehicle technologies, telematics, OTA updates, infotainment systems, ADAS, and autonomous driving platforms.
  • Develop incident response, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity monitoring frameworks.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering and cybersecurity teams.
  • Engage with customers, suppliers, and senior stakeholders to drive cybersecurity best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of overall experience in Cyber Security, with significant experience in Automotive Cyber Security.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • ISO 21434
  • UNECE R155/R156
  • Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)
  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • IEC 62443
  • Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
  • Experience conducting:
  • Security Risk Assessments
  • Vulnerability Assessments
  • Penetration Testing Reviews
  • Strong understanding of:
  • In-Vehicle Networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet)
  • ECU Security
  • OTA Updates
  • ADAS & Autonomous Systems
  • Embedded Security
  • Knowledge of cryptography, PKI, HSM, encryption protocols, and secure communications.
  • Experience with cloud security platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with global Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
