Cyber Security and DevOps Specialist

You will join our dedicated Digital Internet Gateway (DIG) team, contributing to the delivery of its cloud-centric portfolio.

Do you love developing technical solutions using modern cloud technologies and agile principles, and are excited to work with platforms like DIG, Akamai, and SFG?

This role is ideal for someone eager to lead and improve digital capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance and maintain our Digital Internet Gateway (DIG) and Akamai platforms, ensuring high standards of performance and security.
  • Develop innovative technical solutions and drive service improvements.
  • Lead and support team members, engineer platform improvements, and promote best practices in coding and engineering.
  • Deliver high-quality technical solutions, document designs, and propose innovative approaches to challenges.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with cyber security and federation protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML) and WAF setup. Akamai experience is a plus, as is working with multi-tenant platforms (AWS, Azure, on-premises).
  • Understanding of Customer Identity and Access Management and related tools. Knowledge of IBM Security stack (ISAM, ISVA, LDAP) or open source options (Squid) is beneficial, along with Application Server technologies like JBoss EAP and Gateway Security concepts (Networking, CDNs, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPC Peering, NACLs, Security groups).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Packer, Puppet, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Willingness to learn new tools and technologies, and manage change, problems, and incidents.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, including managing technical teams and effective communication up and down the leadership chain.
What You’ll Get:
  • Competitive salary: circa £60,000 in the UK, circa £65,000 in London, depending on skills and experience.
  • Bonus opportunity: 10% of annual salary, performance-dependent.
