Job summary

NHS England is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst within the Infrastructure and Networks teams of the Protective Monitoring area to strengthen cyber resilience and security analytics across the national CSOC. The role is a Tier 2 Infrastructure and Networks analyst, supporting Tier 1 triage and investigations, mentoring junior analysts, and researching emerging threats and security developments.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time

Qualifications

• Experience in a SOC environment.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts.
• Ability to triage and investigate incidents.
• Familiarity with SIEM and XDR tools.
• Proactive in researching threats and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as Tier 2 for Infrastructure and Networks analyst.
• Mentor Tier 1 analysts and handle escalations.
• Investigate security alerts and refine Use Cases.
• Provide technical support to NHS organisations.
• Stay up to date with cyber security developments.
