Job summary

Esh Group is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst in Bowburn to coordinate improvement activities, monitor vulnerabilities and drive evidence-based risk reduction. The role targets graduates or early-career candidates with genuine cyber security interest and a readiness to develop internal capability.

You will work with IT and business teams to implement security controls, report on progress, and support incident response planning.

Qualifications

• Cyber Security, Information Security or related qualification, degree or equivalent practical learning
• Graduate or early-career candidate with passion for cyber security
• Desirable: awareness of Microsoft security tooling, endpoint security, vulnerability management, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials or business continuity principles
• Desirable: entry-level cyber certifications or willingness to work towards relevant qualifications (e.g. Microsoft Security fundamentals, CompTIA Security+)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cyber security improvement activities across IT and wider business, tracking progress and evidence
• Track vulnerabilities, patching and security improvement tasks through to completion
• Support monitoring, reporting and continual improvement across key security platforms
• Assist with phishing simulations, Email Protection, patching and Microsoft security tooling
• Support Microsoft Secure Score improvements and patching visibility
• Maintain cyber risk records, remediation logs and management reporting for IT leadership
• Support cyber incident response preparation, tabletop exercises and lessons learned
• Assist with business continuity planning, disaster recovery validation and resilience improvement
• Support governance and compliance activity (Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 readiness, GDPR controls)
• Help develop repeatable security processes to make improvement more measurable and proactive
• Collaborate with internal teams and service providers to strengthen SOC/MDR, SIEM and 24/7 monitoring
