Job summary

NRG is partnering with an international organisation to hire a Cybersecurity Operations Analyst on a contract basis. The role combines hands-on security operations, incident investigation and frontline cybersecurity support across Europe and the US.

You will join an established global team, manage security requests, investigate events, and provide guidance to users while helping improve security tools and processes from Newcastle upon Tyne, GB.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in cybersecurity operations, security engineering or a similar hands-on security support role.
• Broad technical understanding of cybersecurity, including identity and access management, endpoint security, networks, cloud environments and vulnerability management.
• Practical experience investigating security incidents, troubleshooting technical issues and working with IT service management processes and ticketing systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with experience supporting technical and non-technical users, taking ownership of issues and working independently.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

NRG is supporting an international organisation in the search for an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to join its global security function on a contract basis.

This role combines hands‑on security operations, incident investigation and frontline cybersecurity support, bridging operational coverage between European and US teams.

We're looking for someone with broad cybersecurity experience who enjoys problem‑solving, engaging with users and taking ownership of security-related issues. You'll be joining an established global team with opportunities to develop your technical expertise and contribute to wider security initiatives.
