We are working with a Cyber Security consultancy that is committed to protecting digital infrastructure and data integrity for clients across various industries. As cyber threats evolve, they stay one step ahead — and they're looking for a talented Cyber Security Analyst with Security Operations Center (SOC) experience to help them do just that.

They currently have a small team of 4 Analysts based around the globe, so this role would be their first Security Analyst based in the UK. We are seeking a strong candidate who can work remotely with minimal supervision, while effectively collaborating with their team across different continents and time zones.

Role Overview:

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you’ll be an integral part of their SOC team, responsible for real-time monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events and incidents. You’ll work alongside a dynamic team of cybersecurity professionals and contribute to building a secure and resilient digital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security alerts from SIEM and other security tools.
  • Conduct triage, analysis, and escalation of security events.
  • Investigate incidents and support forensic analysis as needed.
  • Perform threat hunting and proactively identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with other IT and security teams on incident response.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of incidents and findings.
  • Assist in tuning and improving detection rules, playbooks, and SOC processes.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a SOC environment or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of security technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection).
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence sources.
  • Proficiency in analyzing logs, packet captures, and other forensic data.
  • Solid grasp of network protocols, system administration, and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, or equivalent) are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
