Qualifications

• Experience within a cyber security team.
• Hands-on vulnerability management experience.
• Experience with EDR, SIEM, and CASB solutions.
• Familiarity with DLP, firewalls, and phishing simulations.
• Knowledge of ISO27001/Cyber Essentials Plus is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security alerts, escalations, and incidents.

• Coordinate and support penetration testing initiatives.

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst with a strong foundation in identifying, analysing, and mitigating cyber threats. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding sensitive data, maintaining system integrity, and supporting the organisation’s wider risk management strategy.

Salary: Up to £40,000.00 DoE
Location: Nelson
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30/9:00 – 5:00/5:30 (37.5 hours)

What You'll Be Doing

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will:

• Respond to security alerts, escalations, and incidents in a timely manner.
• Oversee vulnerability scanning processes to validate the effectiveness of patching efforts.
• Arrange and support security penetration testing initiatives.
• Monitor external information sources and provide recommendations on emerging security threats and vulnerabilities relevant to our environment.
• Assess, plan, and coordinate patch management activities for internal systems and hardware.
• Evaluate and recommend server hardening measures for implementation by the Infrastructure Team.
• Assist with the configuration of email and internet security solutions.
• Ensure all security configurations comply with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus standards.
