Job summary

AIG is seeking an Underwriter to join its high-performing e-trade team in the UK, focusing on Financial Lines to drive growth through underwriting new and renewal business on E-Trading platforms. The role involves developing broker relationships, supporting product development, and executing annual FL strategies.

You will meet underwriting expectations, assess risk, and ensure contract certainty while maintaining a customer-centric approach and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Some underwriting experience in Financial Lines, PI, D&O and/or Cyber ideal.
• Acturis or other online platform experience advantageous but not essential.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet individual underwriting expectations to help the team achieve budgeted financial objectives.
• Underwrite within agreed standards and authority.
• Assess risk using financial data, broker contact, and claims history.
• Input data accurately in underwriting systems.
• Provide monthly management information on submissions, bind rate, and premiums.
• Deliver excellent service to brokers with timely, proactive underwriting.
