Womble Bond Dickinson is seeking a Partner to lead its growing Cyber practice. This role involves advising on cyber security incidents, mentoring junior lawyers, and leveraging strong insurance market connections to expand services in the UK and internationally.
Our Cyber practice is growing. We already have a small but successful national digital team supporting clients with all areas of this expanding sector, including cyber breach support, resilience, and broader coverage issues. We have ambitious plans to grow further.
We are seeking a Partner to join our expanding digital team to focus on providing cyber-related advice to our clients, including insurers and companies. With our transatlantic offering, strong insurance market presence, and a mandate to grow our digital practice, this opportunity is highly exciting.
Our current work covers the entire cyber lifecycle, from regulatory and compliance advice to help businesses prevent breaches, to acting as breach counsel on critical incidents and providing post-incident support, including defending enforcement actions and handling claims. We also advise on cyber coverage, policy wording, and insurance claim handling. We are trusted advisors during highly pressurized, time-sensitive cyber incidents and breaches.
What you will need to succeed in this role:
We seek an individual with extensive experience in managing cyber security incidents who can help develop and shape our UK cyber practice, expand internationally through our US presence and Lex Mundi relationships, and leverage our insurance market connections. This role offers a great opportunity for a self-starter to lead, develop, and grow a team in a vital client area.
As an experienced leader, you will bring a reputation for technical excellence, exceptional client management skills, and a business growth mindset. Our existing digital, privacy, and insurance teams will support your efforts to grow your practice, with ample resources available for marketing and team development.
To be successful in this role, you will need at least:
