The team: Cyber Analytics
The Gallagher Re Cyber Analytics team offers a range of services including:
- Exposure and experience-based pricing; proportional and non-proportional reinsurance
- Dynamic Financial Analysis (DFA) modelling; stochastic modelling to investigate impact of reinsurance structures P&L, Balance Sheet and Capital Requirements.
- Optimisation; capital efficiency and return from reinsurance structures for liabilities.
- Benchmarking; analysis and presentation of product and sector benchmarks.
- Research and development within Cyber, developing tools for continuous pricing and monitoring of cyber exposures.
The role: Cyber Lead Actuary
- We seek a qualified actuary to join our Cyber team in London (Walbrook).
- You will apply your insurance and reinsurance pricing expertise to provide excellent client service and contribute to team growth.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to lead meetings and deliver risk solutions.
- The UK&I team focuses on risk solutions in motor, property, liability, and Personal Lines.

- Lead client engagement and analytics projects for small and mid-size accounts.
- Build effective relationships within the team, other departments, and clients.
- Own processes within the department as a point of contact.
- Develop research into emerging risks.
- Communicate effectively, presenting information clearly in meetings.
- Understand the actuarial department and the broader business.
- Proactively develop your experience and skills.
- Manage your workload effectively, prioritising tasks and providing progress updates.
- Develop and automate modelling processes.
- Lead strategic reviews of underwriting and reinsurance strategies for London Market clients.
- Lead benchmarking initiatives, analysing pricing and performance by line of business.
About You
Qualifications
- Ideally a fully qualified actuary
- Strong pricing experience, preferably in Cyber
- Excellent analytical skills, applying advanced mathematical and actuarial techniques
- Functional programming skills - R or Python
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive, can-do attitude and team collaboration skills
- Ability to explain complex issues clearly
- Experience in a commercial insurance actuarial team is a plus but not essential
