Job description

NHS Forth Valley is recruiting a Cyber and Information Security Team Leader to lead the day-to-day operation of the Cyber and Information Security Team.

Based within the Information Governance Unit and reporting to the Cyber and Information Security Manager, the postholder will provide operational leadership, technical direction and specialist advice on cyber and information security controls, procedures and standards.

The role includes supervising the Cyber and Information Security Team, managing operational priorities and supporting the effective delivery of security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, technical assurance and cyber risk management.

The postholder will lead and support investigations into cyber and information security incidents, analyse complex security logs and events, assess technical controls and ensure risks and required actions are reported and escalated appropriately.

The role will also support the implementation and maintenance of NHS Forth Valley’s Information Security Policy Framework, coordinate evidence for assurance and audit, and contribute to the development of policies, procedures and incident response arrangements.

Applicants should have substantial cyber and information security experience, including practical experience of security monitoring, incident response, technical controls, risk and assurance.

The successful candidate will be able to communicate complex technical, and governance matters clearly, work effectively with clinical, corporate and technical services, and provide constructive challenge where security requirements are not being met.

The postholder will deputise for the Cyber and Information Security Manager when required.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.
