Cyber Incident Response Specialist

Location: Nuneaton, United Kingdom

Job Type: Permanent, Hybrid role (once or twice a month on-site)

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum DOE

Additional Details: Travel to Nuneaton required. Note: This role requires Security Clearance.

Job Description

The cybersecurity consultancy is seeking to expand its cyber team with an experienced Cyber Incident Response Specialist to support clients across the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as the primary contact for clients.
  2. Respond to and investigate cybersecurity incidents.
  3. Conduct and support Cyber Essentials Assessments.
  4. Provide guidance and security advice to clients.
  5. Prepare detailed technical reports.
  6. Exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.
  7. Manage multiple projects with prioritization based on objectives.
  8. Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 17025, ISO 9001) and security procedures (ISO 27001).
Essential Skills & Experience
  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in Incident Response Investigations.
  2. Experience in data collection.
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  4. Experience in technical report writing.
  5. Proficiency with Encase and/or X-ways.
  6. Ability to handle technical queries from clients and provide support.
  7. Problem-solving skills.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  9. Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  1. Experience with Cyber Essentials.
  2. Certification in Incident Response.
