Job summary

HSBC Global Services Limited is offering a two-year cyber security programme in the UK. The placement may involve roles across Offensive Security, Vulnerability Management, Cryptography or Data Security, with exposure to real threats and secure communications.

You will learn through live projects, cyber labs and industry certifications while developing risk knowledge, controls and collaboration skills within HSBC’s GCIO function.

Qualifications

• Be fluent in English.
• Be available to work full-time from July 2027.
• Have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a 2:1 degree classification or above (or an international equivalent).
• Have already graduated, or will you have completed studies before July 2027.
• Be able to work from the Sheffield office at least 3 days per week.
• Legally permitted to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme and beyond without HSBC visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work with HSBC cyber specialists across Offensive Security, Vulnerability Management, Cryptography or Data Security.
• Identify vulnerabilities and support risk reviews and consultancy activities.
• Learn how emerging technologies like AI and quantum computing shape cybersecurity.
• Participate in live projects and on-the-job learning to build future-ready skills.
