Job summary

Intelance Digital Enablement Services Ltd. seeks a qualified Cyber Essentials professional for flexible associate contractor work across the UK. You will support practical implementation for SMEs, maintain independence, and contribute to a growing cyber assurance practice.

Responsibilities include running discovery calls, workshops, and producing concise recommendations while ensuring data protection and compliance with IASME procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Certificate of Competence in Cyber Essentials Implementation.
• Based in the UK or Crown Dependencies.
• Experience helping SMEs implement Cyber Essentials controls.
• Strong knowledge of CE controls and common IT configurations.
• Ability to explain risks and fixes in plain English.
• Excellent client handling, workshop, documentation and coordination skills.
• Willing to provide qualification evidence before interview and complete IASME onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Advise SMEs on practical implementation of all five Cyber Essentials controls.
• Review scope, devices, cloud services, user access, firewalls, secure configuration and updates.
• Translate technical findings into clear, proportionate actions for non-technical clients.
• Assist remediation planning and provide evidence before certification.
• Run discovery calls, technical workshops and progress reviews.
• Produce written recommendations, action plans and client records.
• Protect client information and follow Intelance procedures for quality, security and conflicts of interest.
• Maintain independence between advice and certification decisions.
