Cyber Capability Contract Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost, Metrics and Measures specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tracking of financial numbers, collating detail for business cases, overseeing progress against Medium-Term Plans (MTPs), and tracking key metrics. This role involves owning the input and production of comprehensive reports and presentations for C-suite executives.

This role is hybrid (3 days in office) & can be based in Birmingham, London, Bristol, Belfast, or Manchester.

What you’ll be doing
  • Oversee and track the security financial data and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support security and security architecture decisions.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.

Business Case Development:

  • Collate key input to business cases to support strategic initiatives and core capability deployment.
  • Analyze financial implications of proposed changes to projects and investments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and insights.

Medium-Term Planning (MTP):

  • Collate input to inform Medium-Term Plans from a security perspective.
  • Monitor & report progress against MTP targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Security Metrics and Risk Tracking:

  • Own tracking for security of key control and risk metrics such as CAF (Control Assurance Framework), key controls, and material weaknesses.
  • Provide graphical tracking and analysis on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of security and risk metrics.

Presentations and Communication:

  • Collate & create input & prepare high-quality presentations for executive meetings.
  • Communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Support management and senior stakeholders with ad-hoc analysis and reporting.

Skills & Experience Required for the Role

  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Expertise in presenting monetary tracking information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • 3+ years stakeholder management & collaboration experience.
  • Experience in running light-touch architecture governance processes in large organizations.
  • A broad range of business, data, systems, and technology architecture experience.
  • Experience in developing long-term cost tracking and management linked to business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to produce business cases, gain approval from senior stakeholders, and ensure delivery of business benefits.
  • Experience working in a transformation/change environment and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery, including Agile planning, working with multiple Tribes and Squads, and driving architecture work in a capability-based model.

About You

  • Interest and background in finance, analytics, accountancy, metrics & measures.
  • Proven experience in financial & metrics management, business case development, and tracking.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation preparation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
