Job description

Job title: Cyber Architect

Location: Frimley or Preston – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £82,000

What you’ll be doing:

  • The Cyber Architect will be responsible for specifying and assuring security systems that support core organisational functions by defining robust and cost-effective solution architectures and designs to meet the business objectives and requirements of the customer, with accountability for delivery of purpose-built solutions within the Cyber security domain.
  • Define current and future-state cyber architectures and technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, legal, and architectural standards through design governance and technical assurance.
  • Collaborate with IM&T, business functions, and key stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment with strategic objectives and delivery of secure solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, subject matter expertise, and support across project lifecycles and service operations.
  • Drive best practices, reduce technical debt, and support capability development through shared knowledge and design reviews.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Extensive experience architecting complex solutions and desirable to have several years of experience working with cyber security services.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-171, NSCS Guidance) and cloud security.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic consulting skills.
  • Proficient in architecture methodologies with hands-on experience in system analysis and agile practices.

Desirable:

  • TOGAF certification and degree-level qualification.
  • Degree level qualification.
