Job summary

A leading retail motor group is seeking a qualified multi-franchise Service Technician to join their dealership in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Vehicle Technician and be capable of conducting vehicle servicing and maintenance across all brands. Strong technical skills and the ability to work efficiently are essential. The role offers opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience as a commercial vehicle Technician.
  • Ability to carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
  • Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct servicing and maintenance of all vehicle brands.
  • Diagnose and repair faults including warranty work.
  • Guide and support Apprentice Technicians.

Are you a successful CV Service Technician or Vehicle Mechanic looking to take the next steps in your career? Hartwell is a leading retail motor group in the UK, operating across multiple locations and trading successfully for many years.

We are seeking a qualified multi-franchise Service Technician to join our dealership in Oxford.

The Service Technician will report to the Service Manager and will be responsible for meeting both franchise and company standards in a service environment.

About you:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with technical knowledge – brand irrelevant, able to work at pace
  • A team player comfortable operating within set processes and procedures
  • A qualified Vehicle Technician with an industry-recognized qualification, ideally level but level will be considered
  • Ability to carry out MOTs is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
  • Motivated, dedicated, and organized with a focus on Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Be tech-savvy with confidence in using an iPad
  • Must have experience as a commercial vehicle Technician

The Ideal Service Technician:

  • Ability to carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles and brands
  • Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, potentially including warranty work, depending on experience and training level
  • Completing work from job cards and electronic write-ups through franchise platforms
  • Conducting electronic vehicle health checks (EVHCs) and video health checks
  • Guide and support Apprentice Technicians as needed
