Morrisons is offering an industrial placement focused on procurement, sourcing, and end-to-end buying processes. You will join a team that sources raw materials for manufacturing sites, gaining exposure to market insights, planning, and collaboration with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in buying raw materials for manufacturing sites, including meats, fruits, vegetables, fish and flowers.
• Gain understanding of seasonal variations and plan/buy to meet customer demand.
• Engage with supply chain partners or customers to understand end-to-end buying processes (sourcing, sales, planning, finance).
• Analyse market insights and propose new business or review current products to meet demand.

Job Overview and Opportunities:

• On the Myton corporate placement , you will be working in a team that buys raw materials for our manufacturing sites which could include meats and all varieties of fruit, vegetables, fish and even flowers, this includes gaining an understanding of seasonal variations and working with the team to ensure we plan and buy to our customers demands
• During the placement you will also be working either directly with our supply chain partners or with our customers and gaining an understanding of the end to end buying process of sourcing, sales and planning, commercial finance and new product development, that aligns with our growth plans and that of our customers, by looking at market insights and proposing new business or reviewing current products to meet demands
