Customs Operator – Stanford-Lee-Hope -£28K-£33K DOE

A freight forwarding company is seeking a customs coordinator to join their Customs logistics team in Stanford Lee-Hope.

The Role:

Responsibilities:

  • Complete all customs entries for imports from start to finish
  • Liaise with port health and customs officials on document checks
  • Check import tariffs and trade agreements
  • Handle various modes of transport – road and sea
  • Deal with a variety of commodities
  • Respond to queries promptly and efficiently
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete customs procedures, codes, and excise
  • Address non-compliance issues and ensure remedial actions comply with customs regulations and laws
  • Ensure timely invoicing, including VAT and duty invoices

Key Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of customs, with import or export experience
  • Experience with customs software
