Customs Manager - Belfast
Up to 40,000 Monday - Friday 9am -5.30pm

Our client is looking for an experienced Customs Manager to oversee the global import/export operations, ensuring full compliance with international trade laws and regulations. You'll play a key role in managing customs processes, mitigating risks, and driving compliance excellence across the business.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with global customs regulations and trade laws.
  • Oversee customs documentation, including classification and valuation of goods.
  • Liaise with customs authorities, brokers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and maintain trade compliance policies and frameworks.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to import/export activities.
  • Manage trade certifications and optimise duty savings.
  • Provide training to teams on compliance best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare compliance reports.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in customs and trade compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of international customs regulations and trade agreements.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Previous experience dealing with Import and Export customs.
