Customs Clearance Coordinator – Full-Time or Part-Time Great Blakenham | Permanent | Full-Time or Part-Time Options

Are you an experienced Customs professional looking for your next opportunity in a dynamic and supportive environment? We’re working with a well-established logistics business based in Great Blakenham that is seeking a Customs Clearance Coordinator to join their team. This role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available.

About the Role

You’ll be part of a collaborative team responsible for managing a variety of customs declarations for key clients, ensuring prompt and compliant processing to maintain a high level of service.

Responsibilities
  • Process and complete import/export entries using CDS for both European road freight and deep-sea ocean freight.
  • Navigate HMRC’s online tariffs and apply customs commodity codes, procedures, and CDS requirements.
  • Handle a wide range of entry declarations including home use, returned goods, temporary import/export, and multi-item entries.
  • Work with CNS and Destin8 port systems (experience with Multifreight/Multished is a plus).
  • Calculate and process customs duties and taxes.
  • Communicate effectively with customs authorities, shipping agents, internal teams, and clients.
  • Raise T1 documents and manage transit procedures.
  • Create jobs and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with AEO standards.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel proficiently.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar customs role – this is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Working Options

Full-Time:

  • Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
  • Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum
  • Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays

Part-Time:

  • Hours: Up to 16 hours per week, ideally over 3 days (e.g., 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM)
  • Rate: £14 – £15 per hour
  • Holidays: Pro-rata
