Role: Customs Engagement Specialist

Location: Southampton (hybrid - min 3 days in the office)

We are currently recruiting for a Customs Engagement Specialist to be based in our office in Southampton. The successful candidate will need to possess excellent communication and customer service skills as well as strong commercial acumen to proactively engage and drive new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make outbound calls to prospective and new clients to welcome them, answer questions, and guide them through the onboarding process.
• Respond to inbound client queries via phone, video calls, and email in a timely and professional manner.
• Proactively contact clients who have become inactive to understand their concerns and offer support, including delisting assistance if needed.
• Liaise with the AVASK Customs team to ensure they are informed of client activity and requirements.
• Provide tailored advice and updates to both new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with internal departments to stay informed on service updates and trends.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven background in direct sales, telesales, or customer service.
• Outgoing, confident, and personable with a natural ability to build rapport.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Target-driven and motivated to help clients grow and succeed.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
