Job Title: Customs Coordinator

Salary: £40,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience), Permanent, 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri

Location: BS34 Bradley Stoke, Bristol

Company Overview:

A modern aerospace and defence supplier with a new office in North Bristol. They are actively recruiting a Customs Coordinator to develop their import and export department. The company is rapidly growing and offers progressive opportunities within a supportive, people-focused environment.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Preparing all import and export documents and organizing transports to/from the EU and globally.
  2. Communicating with customs authorities and colleagues on all customs-related matters.
  3. Applying for customs permits and ensuring compliance with permit requirements.
  4. Checking preferential rules of origin and import/export restrictions.
  5. Carrying out export controls, checking sanction lists, dual-use regulations, and applying for export permits with SPIRE.
  6. Developing and monitoring customs-related processes within the UK branch.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Extensive experience in customs for imports and exports.
  2. Multiple years of experience in import/export and customs procedures.
  3. Strong knowledge of export procedures, customs warehousing, and import processing.
  4. Additional certification in Dangerous Goods is preferred but not essential.
Ideal Candidate:

Experienced in customs, export, and import processes, preferably within a supplier-based industry. Suitable candidates may have worked as a Customs Specialist, Customs Manager, or Customs Coordinator.
