Customs Brokerage Agent – Bristol – Up to £28,000

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customs Brokerage Agent to support customs clearance activities and ensure the accurate and timely movement of international freight. This role involves processing documentation, coordinating shipments, and delivering high-quality customer service while maintaining compliance with regulations and internal procedures.

Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday – 09:00 to 17:30
Salary: Up to £28,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities
  • Process import, export, and transit customs clearances
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into operational systems
  • Prepare and issue invoices in line with client and customer requirements
  • Track and monitor shipments, proactively resolving exceptions
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and colleagues to ensure service standards are met
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, customer SOPs, and internal policies
  • Support operational excellence and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Escalate issues when necessary and uphold cultural values
Skills & Experience
  • 6-12 months of experience in customs, logistics, or freight forwarding
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English
