We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customs Clearance Clerk to join dynamic team and help us maintain our high standards of service.

Position Overview: The Customs Clearance Clerk will be responsible for overseeing and organising the customs clearance process for our clients. This role involves ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, preparing necessary documentation, and coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate the efficient movement of goods. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in customs clearance procedures and possess strong organisational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and complete the customs clearance process from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
  • Prepare and review all necessary documentation for customs clearance, including import/export declarations, invoices, and certificates of origin, IPAFFS
  • Liaise with customs authorities, clients to resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, and ensure the team is informed of any changes.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely clearance
  • Handle any inquiries or concerns from clients regarding the status of their shipments.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Customs Clearance Clerk, with at least 3 years
  • In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and systems.
