Job description

Job Title: Customs Clearance Clerk

Our client is seeking an experienced Customs Clerk to join their busy customs clearance department.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the import customs clearance process for a variety of clients.
  2. Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and maintain accurate records.
  3. Prepare and submit import documentation and customs entries via the CDS system.
  4. Liaise with customs authorities, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  5. Provide excellent customer service by updating clients on shipment statuses and resolving issues promptly.
  6. Keep up to date with changes in import/export regulations and customs procedures.

Salary: £25K-£30K, negotiable depending on experience.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in import customs clearance, ideally within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
