Role Overview

Then look no further, we have a fantastic requirement for a Customs Broker based in Cambridgeshire on a hybrid basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Customs Broker, you will play a pivotal role in managing exports, ensuring trade compliance, and adhering to applicable regulations. Your ability to establish and oversee import process flows, develop internal SOPs, and maintain KPIs for efficient inbound freight management will be crucial to the success of the business.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the sales department to tailor customer-specific import procedures, guaranteeing accurate documentation for all import activities, and providing prompt responses to customs representatives and internal requests. Your expertise will also be vital in representing the company to customs and other government agencies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of global trade regulations, and ensuring this knowledge is integrated into departmental processes and disseminated across the organization.

Role Requirements
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience. Additionally, a Customs Broker License and IATA Certification are essential for this position.
  • Proven experience in customs brokerage/clearance, imports and exports, and global trade compliance.
  • You will also have experience shipping/brokering hazardous materials.
